NO NATIONAL LOCKDOWNS IN EAST ASIA
The lockdown in Wuhan and Hubei Province started on January 23, 2020. Within five weeks, they were able to extirpate the Wuhan variety of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Since all those countries who tried lockdowns failed to wipe out the virus, it was not the lockdown that did the trick, it was the practice of doing very local lockdowns of single buildings, the general use of masks, and not sending patients home to infect their families, as is customary in the West when a patient is not in serious condition.
There was no national lockdown in China; by January 23, hundreds of thousands had left Wuhan for their home towns and villages. Covid was present everywhere in China, yet they beat it with ease. Same situation in Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan, where tourists from China were common. Casualties in those countries, where the subways continued to run, were 1000 times lower than those in Western countries that had locked down.
Western media could not be unaware of that, yet kept the matter secret or explained that "lockdowns are less strict in East Asia." It was a conscious deception, suggesting that at the editorial level, there was awareness of the fact that the lockdowns were psyops, intended to isolate individuals and families, creating psychologically difficult to manage tension and fear.
STATES CHOOSE LOCKDOWN, AGAINST EVIDENCE OF MORE SUCCESSFUL RESPONSES
After Italy chose lockdown, it was immediately imitated by France, Spain, and then by most European states and most states in the USA. Sweden, Iceland, and Belarus did not imitate.
The WHO rejected and still rejects lockdowns.
We ask the health agencies: "Why do we choose watchful waiting and paracetamol/acetaminophen?" "The WHO advises that. There is no known cure" It was a lie, Chinese had announced a chloroquine protocol on February 17.

Governments also explain absurd belief that 1-2 meters distance offers safety, on the basis of what the WHO advises.
However, when they order economic suicide by lockdown, again and again, all governments simply refuse to discuss the advice of the WHO. No debate is allowed; opposition is censored, and organising dissent is cause for arrest.
There are reasons to believe that the decision for nation-wide lockdowns was not taken because of any established science of epidemic control.
Some possible explanations for Western lockdowns:
a. ignorance, by which politicians in Italy, France, and Spain could have decided, in a moment of panic, to imitate what they thought was China's successful Covid-19 management.
b. arrogance and stupidity, a pretty normal condition among democratically elected leader.
c. random decision of a bored Prime Minister, such as: "So, how about us just invading Iraq?" "Well, Sir, yes, we could invade Iraq. Why not?"
d. they correctly concluded that by locking up the country they would be able to wipe out small businesses, transferring trillions from the middle classes to the oligarchy;
e. Trump was not admired by his European colleagues, who thought that their wild lockdowns would be imitated by Democrat politicians in the USA, crush the economy, and kill Trump's chances.
f. an oligarchs' conspiracy to use the pandemic to impose mass obedience training. Its objective is regimentation aimed at imposing social credit controls already in use in China.
Social credit controls could be intended to regiment Western societies
a. for the management of an expected/planned collapse of world finance;
b. for the management of an expected nuclear war;
c. to permit artificial intelligence to replace workers and to manage resulting dissent;
COVID-19 lockdowns
Lockdowns were applied everywhere, except for Sweden, Belarus, Iceland, The claimed intent was to "flatten the curve."
Some Asian and African regimes ignored the lockdown unwritten directives from Europe; others, like India, applied it ferociously, with widespread use of violence. Some regimes, like those of Kenya and South Africa, used the lockdown as a tool for enriching police through bribe-taking and black market operations.
East Asian countries ignored the lockdown fashion.
The only place where lockdowns were effective was Wuhan city and Hubei province, because they were applied together with field hospitals, food deliveries to locked-down people, and general use of masks.
Wikipedia editors and media in general, appear to be intent upon presenting a deceptive image of the world, in accordance with official liberal Western beliefs and desires.
The World Health Organization's recommendation on curfews and lockdowns is that they should be short-term measures to reorganize, regroup, rebalance resources, and protect health workers who are exhausted. To achieve a balance between restrictions and normal life, the WHO recommends a response to the pandemic that consists of strict personal hygiene, effective contact tracing, and isolating when ill.[5]
The WHO does not seem to recommend lockdowns. Here are excerpts from the article referred to in note [5]:

Wikipedia is the major apologist of Western liberal regimes. Thus, Dr. Nabarro's harsh criticism against lockdowns had to disappear, in the version approved by Wikieditors.
Research and case studies have shown that lockdowns are effective at reducing the spread of COVID-19, therefore flattening the curve.[4]
This is the opposite of what Dr. Nabarro had said.
The lockdown in the Philippines started on 14 March 2020 and is one of the longest and strictest lockdowns with varying levels of community quarantine being imposed on all major islands and cities.[12][13] Similarly the lockdown in South Africa started on 27 March 2020[14] and progressed through various levels. It is also one of the strictest lockdowns in the world with cigarettes and alcohol banned throughout.[15]
Lockdowns in the Philippines and in South Africa were imitation of European lockdowns, with the addition of ignorant malevolence, offensive brutality, and covid cage punishment--putting people in cages to help spread the covid.
Banning of cigarettes and alcohol in South Africa shows us how corrupt regimes, whose police forces are poorly paid, use the covid opportunity to empower police to shake down cigarette and alcohol wholesalers and particularly small local dealers, while providing some entertainment to police, who can now use batons and rubber bullets with more spirit.
On 9 March 2020, the government of Italy under Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte imposed a national lockdown or quarantine, restricting the movement of the population except for necessity, work, and health circumstances, in response to the growing pandemic of COVID-19 in the country. Additional lockdown restrictions mandated the temporary closure of non-essential shops and businesses.

The English language Chinese press wrote about this. European states had embassies in China, thus Rome, Paris, and Madrid knew what was happening in China: there was no national lockdown in China, or in any East Asian country.
NATO-aligned regimes decided to ignore East Asian experience; there was one dissenter, Sweden, which went on its own separate path, but still could not bring themselves to study East Asia's knowledge and practices.
